The Heaton Family of Lancashire

from the beginning......

If your name is Heaton........

then here are your ancestors.........

The following file for download contains:-.

A Heaton Family Tree starting with the earliest recorded Heaton, Randle de Heaton, 1135AD of Heaton-under-the-Forest. This continues with the spread of the Heatons for 20 generations across many family lines from 1135AD to the early 1900's.  Many sub-branches are followed along the way including Heatons of "Heaton-under-the Forest", Heatons of London, Heatons of Billinge, Heatons - Clouch Branch and Ravenhurst Branch".   The  text also includes Heatons that emigrated to America.

The family was centred around the parish of Deane in Bolton near Manchester, County of Lancashire, England which included the townships of Rumworth, Westhoughton,  Over Hulton,  Little Hulton,  Middle Hulton, Horwich, Farnsworth, Heaton, Kearsley, Halliwell.

Included is a description of the family origins in the region and a detailed description of the Deane Parish including the church where most of the early Heatons are buried.

The Heaton Coat of Arms is included.

If you are a Heaton, then it is probable that this first recorded Heaton, Randle de Heaton, is your ancestor.

You may find your line back to him.
